6 He spake also this parable; A certain [man] had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung [it]:

9 And if it bear fruit, [well]: and if not, [then] after that thou shalt cut it down.

 Luke 13:6-9

6 ¶ 그분께서 또한 이 비유를 말씀하시되, 어떤 사람에게 자기 포도원에 심은 무화과나무 한 그루가 있었는데 그가 와서 그것의 열매를 구하였으나 하나도 찾지 못하였으므로

7 그때에 그가 자기 포도원지기에게 이르기를, 보라, 내가 이 삼 년 동안 와서 이 무화과나무에서 열매를 구하되 하나도 찾지 못하니 그것을 베어 버리라. 어찌하여 그것이 땅을 버리게 하겠느냐? 하매

8 그 종이 그에게 대답하여 이르기를, 주인이여, 금년에도 그것을 그대로 두소서. 그동안에 내가 그것의 주위를 파고 그것에 거름을 주리니

9 만일 그것이 열매를 맺으면 좋겠지만 그러지 않으면 그 뒤에 그것을 베어 버리소서, 하였느니라, 하시니라.
