Currently, the biggest economic issue in Korea is the rapid increase in real estate prices. 현재, 한국의 가장 큰 경제적 문제는 부동산 가격의 급상승입니다.

As of July 2021, house prices rose an average of more than 25 percent in the last 12 months in South Korea’s nine major areas, including Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. 2011년 7월 현재, 서울, 경기도를 포함하여 한국의 9개 주요지역에서는 지난 12개월간 집값이 평균 25% 이상 올랐습니다.

According to KB Kookmin Bank and Naver.com, the average on-year growth in housing prices in the nine areas reached 26.7 percent during July 2020 – July 2021 period. 국민은행과 네이버에 따르면, 9개 지역의 2020년 7월부터 2021년 7월 까지의 년간 평균 상승률은 26.7%라고 합니다.

So, a couple of candidates for South Korean presidential election 2022, made election promises that they would improve the situation on real estate market by creating a Land Value Tax. 그래서 2022년 대한민국 대통령 선거의 몇 몇 후보자들은 국토보유세를 신설하여 부동산 시장의 상태를 개선하겠다는 선거공약을 들고 나왔습니다.

By the way, their idea of a land value tax was derived from Georgism, 그런데, 국토보유세라는 그들의 생각은 조지주의에서 비롯된 것입니다.

And also Georgism has been presented by many as an philosophy that can carry out the biblical principles of land or real estate. 또한 조지주의는 여러 사람들에 의해 부동산에 대한 성경적 원칙들을 실행할 수 있는 철학으로 제시되어 왔습니다.

1. Henry George proposed practice of a single tax on land instead of taxing labor to solve social problems. 헨리 조지는 사회적 문제를 해결하기 위해 노동에 세금을 매기는 대신에 토지에 단일세를 매길 것을 제안했습니다.
