10 Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye [are] witnesses this day.

13 So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.

17 And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he [is] the father of Jesse, the father of David.

10 또 내가 말론의 아내 모압 여인 룻을 사서 내 아내로 삼고 그 죽은 자의 상속재산에 근거하여 그의 이름을 일으켜서 그 죽은 자의 이름이 그의 형제들 가운데서와 그의 처소 성문에서 끊어지지 않게 한 일에 대해서도 너희가 이날 증인이니라, 하매

13 ¶ 이렇게 보아스가 룻을 취하니 그녀가 그의 아내가 되었고 그가 그녀에게로 들어가매 주께서 그녀를 수태하게 하시므로 그녀가 아들을 낳으니

17 그녀의 이웃 여인들이 그 아이에게 이름을 주며 이르되, 나오미에게 아들이 태어났다, 하여 그의 이름을 오벳이라 하였는데 그는 다윗의 아버지인 이새의 아버지이니라.
