5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
6 For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
7 And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if [he ask] a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Luke 11:5-13

5 또 그분께서 그들에게 이르시되, 너희 중에 누가 친구가 있는데 한밤중에 그에게 가서 그에게 말하기를, 친구여, 내게 빵 세 개를 빌려 다오.
6 내 친구가 여행 중에 내게 왔으나 그 앞에 차려 놓을 것이 내게 없노라, 하면
7 그가 안에서 응답하여 이르기를, 나를 괴롭게 하지 말라. 이제 문을 닫았고 내 자녀들이 나와 함께 잠자리에 들었으니 내가 일어나 네게 줄 수 없노라, 하겠느냐?
8 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 그가 자기 친구이므로 그가 일어나 그에게 주지는 아니할지라도 그가 귀찮게 졸라대므로 일어나 그의 필요대로 다 그에게 주리라.
9 내가 또 너희에게 이르노니, 구하라. 그러면 너희에게 주실 것이요, 찾으라. 그러면 너희가 찾을 것이요, 두드리라. 그러면 너희에게 열릴 것이니
10 구하는 자마다 받고 찾는 자는 찾으며 두드리는 자에게 열릴 것이니라.
11 너희 중에 누가 아들이 빵을 구하면 아버지가 되어 그에게 돌을 주겠느냐? 혹은 그가 생선을 구하면 그에게 생선 대신 뱀을 주겠느냐?
12 혹은 그가 알을 구하면 그에게 전갈을 주겠느냐?
13 그런즉 너희가 악할지라도 너희 자녀들에게 좋은 선물들을 줄 줄 알거든 하물며 하늘에 계신 너희 [아버지]께서 자기에게 구하는 자들에게 성령을 얼마나 더 많이 주시겠느냐? 하시니라.
