25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

29 And he answering said to [his] father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Luke 15:25-32

25 한편 그의 큰아들은 들에 있었는데 그가 오면서 집에 가까이 왔을 때에 음악과 춤추는 소리를 듣고는

26 종들 중 하나를 불러 이것들이 무엇을 뜻하는지 물으니

27 종이 그에게 말하되, 당신의 동생이 왔는데 당신의 아버지께서 그를 무사히 건강하게 맞이하셨으므로 살진 송아지를 잡으셨나이다, 하매

28 그가 노하여 들어가려 하지 아니하므로 그의 아버지가 나와서 그에게 간청하매

29 그가 자기 아버지에게 응답하여 이르되, 보소서, 이 여러 해 동안 내가 아버지를 섬기며 어느 때고 아버지의 명령을 범한 적이 없었는데 아버지께서는 내가 내 친구들과 함께 즐기도록 내게 염소 새끼 한 마리도 결코 주지 아니하셨나이다.

30 그러나 아버지의 살림을 창녀들과 함께 삼켜 버린 아버지의 이 아들이 오매 즉시 아버지께서 그를 위해 살진 송아지를 잡으셨나이다, 하니

31 아버지가 그에게 이르되, 아들아, 너는 항상 나와 함께 있으므로 내게 있는 모든 것이 네 것이니라.

32 이 네 동생은 죽었다가 다시 살아났으며 잃어버렸다가 찾았으니 우리가 즐거워하고 기뻐하는 것이 마땅하니라, 하였느니라, 하시니라.
