보라, 내가 문에 서서 두드리노니 누구든지 내 음성을 듣고 문을 열면 내가 그에게로 들어가 그와 함께 만찬을 먹고 그는 나와 함께 먹으리라.

- Israel did break the covenant with God. 이스라엘이 하나님과의 계약(언약)을 파기했다.
- They do not keep the commandments of God and disobey. 하나님의 명령을 지키지 않고 불순종했다는 것입니다.
- God did break Israel. 하나님께서 이스라엘을 쪼개셨다.
- Either party that breaks the covenant should be cut in two. 계약(언약)을 어긴 당사자가 둘로 쪼개진다는 것입니다.
- In other words, since Israel broke the covenant, Israel must die. 즉, 이스라엘이 계약(언약)을 어겼으니 이스라엘이 죽어야 합니다.
- God did break Himself on the Cross. 하나님께서 십자가에서 친히 쪼개지셨습니다.
- It was to fulfill all his covenants with Israel. 이것은 이스라엘과 맺은 모든 계약(언약)을 다 성취하기 위함입니다.
- In other words, he made the testament to complete the covenants. 즉 계약(언약)의 완성을 위해 유언을 세우신 것입니다.
- To establish this, the Lord’s Supper was instituted and the first supper was held. 주님의 만찬을 제정하시고 처음으로 만찬을 행하셨습니다.
- We do break the Bread in the Lord’s Supper. 우리가 주님의 만찬에서 빵을 부숩니다.
- We do it to remember his death with the new testament. 주님께서 새 유언을 세우신 죽음을 기억하기 위함입니다.
