Why 153 Fish? 왜 153 마리의 물고기인가?

Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

So the question is “Why 153 Fish?” 질문은 왜 153 마리의 물고기인가? 입니다.

It is in multiple choice format. There are three choices for the answer. 다지선다형 객관식 문제입니다. 다음 세 가지 중에서 답을 고르시기 바랍니다.

1. 153 fish means the total number of fish that were caught by those 7 disciples. 153 마리의 물고기는 일곱 명의 사도들이 잡은 물고기의 총 수이다.
2. It means that there were 153 kinds of fish in the sea of Galilee. 갈릴리 바다에는 153 종류의 물고기가 있다는 뜻이다.
3. It means that there is some symbolic significance for the number of 153. 153이라는 숫자에 무엇인가 상징적 의미가 있다는 뜻이다.

I think all these three choices can be the answer. 저는 세 가지 모두 답이 될 수 있다고 생각합니다.

Before I will explain the symbolic significance for the number of 153, I want to tell you a short testimony. 153 이라는 숫자가 같는 상징적 의미에 대해 설명드리기 전에 한 가지 간증을 해 드리고자 합니다.

This means that numbers in the Bible can have special or specific significance.
이 말은 성경의 숫자들은 특별한 혹은 구체적 의미를 가진다는 뜻입니다.

The number 153 is the MASTER triangular number. It is the 17^th triangular number. 숫자 153은 대단히 중요한 삼각수입니다. 그것은 17번째 삼각수입니다.

It is equal to the sum of 17 natural numbers from 1 to 17. 이는 1부터 17까지 연속된 17개의 숫자의 합입니다.

You see, A triangular number or triangle number counts objects arranged in an equilateral triangle. 보시다시피 삼각수는 정삼각형으로 배열된 물체(공)의 수와 같습니다.

The nth triangular number is the number of dots in the triangular arrangement with n dots on a side, and is equal to the sum of the n natural numbers from 1 to n. N 번째 삼각수는 한 변이 각각 N개의 점으로 구성된 삼각형 모양으로 배열된 점의 총수를 말합니다. 그리고 1부터 N까지의 숫자의 합과 같습니다.

Here is the trinity function (to the 3rd power) performed on the number 153. 이것이 153이란 숫자에서 이뤄지는, 삼위일체 기능이라 할 수 있습니다.

Among infinite triangular numbers, there are just three MASTER triangular numbers that have the trinity function. 무한한 삼각수들 가운데 삼위일체 기능이 있는 숫자는 단지 세 개에 불과합니다.

As you know Hebrew language has also its own gematria. The number 153 means the sons of God in terms of Hebrew gematria. 아시는 것처럼 히브리 언어는 게마트리아(각 알파벳이 가지고 있는 숫자)를 가지고 있습니다. 숫자 153은 히브리 게마트리아로 볼 때 하나님의 아들을 뜻합니다.
